Two more housemates – JackeyB and Jaypaul – were on Sunday evicted from the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show.

The duo were among the seven housemates listed for possible eviction during the week.

Others were – Liquorose, Saga, Whitemoney, Saskay, and Queen.

JackeyB and Jaypaul were evicted after they garnered the lowest votes from their fans.

Jaypaul scored 3.77 percent of the total votes while JackeyB had 4.26 percent.

At least 14 housemates had been evicted from the house since the BBNaija began on July 24 while 11 others are still vying for the show’s ultimate prize.

The remaining housemates are – Cross, Saskay, Saga, Nini, Pere, Queen, Angel, Yousef, Emmanuel, Liquorose, and Whitemoney.

BBNaija is Nigerian reality show in which contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize worth $100000 at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted by viewers. Big Brother Naija, formerly known as Big Brother Nigeria, is a Nigerian reality competition television series, based on the Big Brother television franchise, in which, contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize and other material prizes, at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by viewers who vote for their favourite housemates to remain in the show.

The first season of the show first aired on M-Net and DStv Channel 37 from 5 March to 4 June 2006. The voting results were verified by the auditing company of Alexander-Forbes.

Kidnappers kill mother of popular Hausa singer, Rarara

Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu, mother of a popular Hausa singer, Dauda Adamu, popularly known as Rarara has d!ed in the hands of kidnappers, reports revealed.

Recall that on June 28, Rarara’s mother, aged 75 was k!dnapped at her home in Kahutu village, Danja local government area, Katsina State.

The elderly mother was k!dnapped at her residence in Kahutu, Danja local government area of the state, in the early hours of Friday.

However, on Friday the Arewa on their X handle disclosed that the mother of the singer has died in the hands of the k!dnappers.

Abductors of Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu, had reportedly demanded a ransom of N900 million for her release.

A source close to the family in Kahutu revealed that the abductors initially demanded N1 billion but later reduced the amount to N900 million after brief negotiations.

Banky W returns to classroom

Musician-turned-politician Bankole Wellington, widely known as Banky W, says he has returned to the classroom .

Updating his followers about his current pursuit in an Instagram post on Friday, the singer said he is now pursuing a master’s degree in policy at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

He wrote;

“Gave up being a CEO to become a student because sometimes you have to let go of what is impressive to gain what is important.

“I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The journey of faith continues. Please wish me well,” he posted.

This came barely two months after he survived a fourth cancer surgery
