BREAKING: Court Declares Machina As Yobe North APC Senatorial Candidate

Alhaji Bashir Sheriff Machina has been declared by the Federal High Court sitting in Damaturu, Yobe State as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Yobe North senatorial district in the 2023 elections.

Delivering judgement on Wednesday, the presiding judge, Justice Fadima Aminu directed INEC to accept and publish his name accordingly.

The judge affirmed Mr Machina as the duly and validly elected Yobe North senatorial candidate for APC, thereby upholding the May 28 primary election of the Party that produced him.

The judge described the primary election where Senate President Ahmad Lawan emerged as the candidate as “phantom”.
