Germany Opens DAAD Scholarship Applications for Sub-Saharan African Graduates
Germany has announced the opening of applications for its scholarship programme aimed at graduates and postgraduates across Sub-Saharan Africa, providing new opportunities for advanced study and research abroad.
In a post on its official X handle on Friday, the German government described the initiative as part of its ongoing commitment to international academic cooperation.
“DAAD scholarships are now available for graduates and postgraduates in Sub-Saharan Africa. See flier for more information and send in your applications. The deadline is 29 April 2026,” the statement read.
Prospective applicants have been advised to follow the instructions outlined in the official flier, which includes details on eligibility criteria, participating institutions, and the application process.
“Applicants are advised to read all guidelines thoroughly and ensure that complete documents are submitted,” the post added.
German authorities also emphasised the importance of adhering to the deadline, warning that late submissions will not be accepted.
“The deadline for applications is 29 April 2026. We encourage candidates to apply well ahead of time,” the statement said.
According to Germany, the scholarship programme is highly competitive, drawing applicants from across the region who seek to advance their academic and professional careers.
