Jane Adams Presents Credentials As Nigeria’s High Commissioner To Jamaica

The High Commissioner of Nigeria to Jamaica, Dr. Jane Bassey Adams, has presented her Letters of Credence to the Governor-General of Jamaica, Sir Patrick Linton Allen, at King’s House, Kingston.

The ceremony was held on September 10, 2026.

Presenting her credentials, Adams conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Governor-General, the Government and people of Jamaica.

She described the presentation as a significant milestone in Nigeria-Jamaica relations, noting the enduring historical bonds and shared heritage between both countries.

Adams said her mission would focus on translating the historical ties into robust and mutually beneficial partnerships in trade and investment, health, culture, technology, tourism and education.

She expressed determination to work with Jamaican authorities and other stakeholders to identify new areas of cooperation and strengthen existing partnerships.

According to her, her mission would be guided by the vision of “A New Dawn” in Nigeria-Jamaica relations.

The Federal Government reaffirmed its commitment to working with Jamaica to deepen bilateral cooperation for mutually beneficial outcomes.
