Koladaisi University secures full NUC accreditation for five health programmes
Koladaisi University in Ibadan has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission for its health science programmes, including Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology.
The approval was contained in a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olatunbosun, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
A statement from the university’s Registrar, Haruna Adetu, said the achievement followed the recent accreditation exercise conducted by the NUC across Nigerian universities.
The NUC, in a letter signed by Abraham Chundusu on behalf of the Executive Secretary, stated that the exercise was carried out in line with the Education Act. The Commission granted “Full Accreditation” status to the programmes, which remains valid for five years.
The university described the accreditation as a reflection of its commitment to global best practices and quality assurance. According to the statement, the full accreditation affirms the high academic standards, quality faculty, modern facilities, and strong governance structure put in place by the management under the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership.
The university added that it remains dedicated to producing globally competitive graduates with the knowledge, competence, and character needed to excel in their professions. It noted that the achievement would boost public confidence in the institution’s ability to deliver quality education, particularly in health disciplines critical to national development.
The NUC accreditation teams assessed key areas including curriculum content, staffing, physical facilities, laboratories, library resources, governance structure, and student support services before granting the approval.
