Kosofe APC Aspirant Vows to Tackle Poverty, Illiteracy in 2027
A House of Representatives aspirant for Kosofe Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress, Oluremi Oluwalogbon, has pledged to combat poverty, illiteracy, and unemployment in the area if elected in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during her official declaration event held at a bank premises in the Ketu area of Kosofe Local Government, the aspirant outlined plans to empower at least 10,000 constituents, expand educational opportunities, and create jobs for youths and women.
Oluwalogbon, who grew up in Kosofe, described the constituency as her home and recalled childhood memories of watching her father work hard alongside community members. She said those experiences taught her the values of hard work, unity, and respect for human dignity.
She urged residents to trust her leadership, noting that she had been supporting community members for years before venturing into politics. She called for alternative education systems, community learning centres, and adult education programmes to help young people realise their potential.
The aspirant highlighted the work of her non-governmental organisation, Threefold Impact, which she founded before her political ambition. According to her, the NGO has trained and empowered over 4,000 youths and women in vocational and digital skills such as tailoring, catering, makeup, photography, and entrepreneurship. Many of the beneficiaries now run their own businesses.
She added that the organisation has also provided solar-powered boreholes, renovated schools, and supported vulnerable families with food and medical assistance.
If elected, Oluwalogbon promised to establish two modern Digital Skills and Enterprise Centres in Kosofe to train at least 10,000 youths in skills relevant to today’s economy. She also pledged to improve access to finance for women and young entrepreneurs, enhance schools, provide quality healthcare for women and children, and push for policies that drive economic growth in the constituency.
She assured the crowd that she remains deeply connected to the community, having invested her time, resources, and heart into Kosofe over many years.
