Kwara APC Launches 2027 Mobilization Drive with ‘Kwara Ndupe’ Rally
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State officially commenced its mobilization efforts for the 2027 general elections on Sunday, holding a state-wide rally tagged “Kwara Ndupe” (Kwara is Grateful). The event served a dual purpose: celebrating the peaceful conclusion of the party’s recent direct primary elections and signaling the early start of campaign activities for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu. Supporters and party stalwarts marched through major streets of Ilorin to demonstrate their solidarity.
Addressing the media, the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Abdulateef Alakawa, emphasized that the primaries reflected the collective will of the party members. He reaffirmed the state chapter’s unwavering loyalty to President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Regarding internal cohesion, Alakawa dismissed concerns that the outcome of the primaries might fracture the party. “In every democratic process, there will be winners and others who may not emerge. As far as the APC is concerned, we have no losers,” he stated. He added that a reconciliation committee has already been established to resolve grievances and consolidate the party’s ranks ahead of the 2027 polls.
The rally also highlighted the party’s internal zoning strategies. Ahmad Muhammad, the APC’s candidate for the Kwara North Senatorial District, praised the decision to zone the governorship ticket to his region as a significant step toward fairness and inclusiveness.
Other party leaders, including the Majority Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Oba Magaji Abdulkadri, expressed optimism about the party’s dominance in the state. “The future in Kwara State is APC from top to bottom,” Abdulkadri remarked, asserting that the party remains a united front with minimal opposition.
