Kwara Gov commiserates with Saraki over mother’s death
Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has sent his condolences to the Saraki family on the death of their matriarch, Chief Florence Saraki, which occurred on Tuesday, June 18.
A statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, on Wednesday noted that the governor particularly commiserated with the former Senate President Bukola Saraki and the rest of the family on the sad development.
The governor urges the Sarakis to be consoled by the fine legacies of their matriarch.
“‘He prayed to God for the repose of her soul and to uphold the family,” it stated.
The former Senate President on Tuesday announced the demise of his mother and wife of the late Senate leader in the Second Republic, Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki.
He wrote; “With profound sadness and total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, who peacefully transitioned today, Tuesday, June 18th, 2024
“Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course. We appreciate your love, prayers, and support as we mourn Mama’s passing,” Dr Saraki’s statement added
