Military Intercepts Suspected Terrorist Supplies in Borno State

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have intercepted two pick-up vans suspected of conveying logistics supplies to Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Borno State. The operation, conducted following credible human intelligence, resulted in the recovery of various items, including vehicles, spare parts, foodstuffs, and communication devices.

According to Lt Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai, the recovered items include two civilian vehicles, 31 spare tyres, 23 spare rims, two bicycles, and assorted food items. The drivers conveying the items are currently in military custody for further interrogation.

The successful interception highlights the effectiveness of intelligence-driven operations and collaboration between troops and local security partners in disrupting terrorist logistics networks. The military remains committed to denying terrorists freedom of movement and ensuring the safety and security of law-abiding citizens across the North-East.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region, following previous successes such as the interception of a large cache of arms in Zamfara State in January.
