Nigeria Trains behind close doors Ahead of Semi-Final Against Morocco in Rabat
Nigeria held a closed-door training session in Rabat on Monday, as preparations ramped up for their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against host nation Morocco on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles arrived in the capital after traveling from their tournament base in Fez. Team officials said the private session was arranged to allow head coach Eric Chelle to focus on tactical planning without outside attention.
Nigeria advanced to the semi-finals following a 2–0 quarter-final win over Algeria, with goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams.
The team is now based in Rabat, where the match will be held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium the same venue where Morocco has played all of its tournament matches.
Media will be permitted to watch the first 15 minutes of training on Tuesday before the session again moves behind closed doors.
On the injury front, defender Ryan Alebiosu continues his recovery, while captain Wilfred Ndidi who is suspended for the semi-final is progressing from a hamstring strain.
Victory would send Nigeria to Sunday’s final in Rabat, while a loss would see them travel to Casablanca for the third-place playoff on Saturday.
