Osimhen: Morocco Have Home Advantage, But Eagles Are Ready
Super Eagles vice-captain, Victor Osimhen, has acknowledged that Morocco will have the support of their home crowd in Wednesday’s Africa Cup of Nations semi-final, giving them an edge.
Speaking ahead of the crucial match, the striker admitted the contest “is not going to be easy” with Moroccans playing in front of thousands of their supporters. However, he expressed confidence in Nigeria’s ability to overcome the challenge.
“They have a very good squad, talented players, but I think we are one of the most feared teams in this tournament,” Osimhen stated in an interview.
He highlighted that the team’s recent victory over Algeria boosted their belief and that many players are accustomed to high-pressure environments in packed stadiums.
Osimhen, who is expected to lead the team in the absence of the suspended captain Wilfred Ndidi, emphasized that the squad is focused and prepared to give their all for a place in the final.
