PRP confirms Donald Duke as presidential candidate for 2027
The National Working Committee of the Peoples Redemption Party has officially cleared former Cross River State governor, Donald Duke, as its validly elected presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement from the party’s national publicity secretary, the decision was finalized on June 5, 2026, following a review of the primaries appeal committee’s report. The committee upheld Duke’s election and also affirmed four other primary outcomes.
The party said it would field a total of 420 candidates for various positions in the upcoming elections, with the exception of the Tarauni Federal Constituency, whose primary was nullified.
The PRP reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy and promised to offer credible and transformative leadership to the country.
