Tech Awards Platform Opens Nominations for Africa’s Emerging Innovators

The organisers of the CIO & C-Suite Awards Africa have officially opened nominations for the seventh edition of the awards, calling on technology and business executives across 15 African countries to submit their entries.

Nominations for the 2026 edition will run from May 1 to June 30, covering a wide range of sectors including fintech, e-commerce, healthtech, agritech, cleantech, artificial intelligence, education, media, telecommunications, and technology services.

Since its launch in 2020, the awards platform has focused on recognising executives and organisations that are driving digital transformation and technology leadership across the continent.

This year’s eligible countries include Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda, Togo, Tunisia, Egypt, Angola, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, Zambia, Cameroon, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Speaking about the initiative, the Convener, Abiola Laseinde, described the awards as belonging to the African tech community, adding that the organisers are merely custodians. She noted that every nomination tells a story of impact, and every honoree demonstrates what the continent is capable of achieving.

The organisers also stated that this year’s edition would place special focus on leaders driving transformation across sectors considered critical to Africa’s digital and economic growth.

Reflecting on the platform’s journey since inception, the Chairman, Oluwakayode Adigun, said the awards have grown steadily in both participation and regional reach.

He explained that what began as a bold idea during a period of global uncertainty has evolved into one of the continent’s most respected platforms for recognising technology and enterprise leadership, adding that each edition has expanded not only in reach but also in depth, reflecting a stronger and more connected African digital ecosystem.

Further details on the nomination process are available on the awards platform’s official website.
