Why Kwankwaso will Defeat, Atiku, Tinubu, Others- NNPP Chieftain, Tijani

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, will beat other candidates to win the 2023 general election.

A chieftain of the party, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani, stated this in an interview in Kaduna on Sunday.

He said, “What the NNPP achieved in just three months of its registration, both the APC and the PDP couldn’t achieve in one year.

“If you look at the general acceptance of our party by Nigerian masses, you will agree with me that nothing is stopping us from winning the 2023 general election.

“Just look at the massive reception that our leader, Sen. Rabi’u Kwankwaso gets each time he visited one state or the other, you can see the large turnout of people coming out of the streets to receive him, even before the campaign.

“I think that this is clear enough for people to see that we are in the process of winning the presidential election, ” he said.

Tijjani said that unlike other presidential candidates, Kwankwaso has so many achievements to show in his previous leadership positions in the country.

“Take a look at the four major presidential candidates for 2023 for example, Bola Tinubu will tell you, vote for me and I will do this and that, Atiku Abubakar will say the same thing. Peter Obi appeared to be a presidential candidate only on the social media.

“But NNPP is telling people that Kwankwaso has done this and that in Kano State and other states of the federation, if he gets the mandate in 2023 he will replicate what he did before and even add more.

“He is not just coming to make empty promises like others, what we are saying is that Kwankwaso has done it before, he will do it again if he gets the opportunity,” he said.

Tijjani said that the PDP and the APC have failed Nigerians in all aspects, hence the need for a new party to takeover the leadership of the country.

“Basically, Kaduna and other Northern states in the country have not benefited much from the present administration.

“So, Nigerians are well prepared for the 2023 election, this time it is not going to be business as usual because the electorate is fully prepared to vote out leaders who have nothing to offer them.

“Those who don’t care about the wellbeing of the citizens and they are prepared to vote in people that they can trust because of what they have done before.

“Our party the NNPP will be voted in by the masses who are the victims of successive governments in 2023, so we are just waiting for February 2023 for the Nigerian masses to vote massively for us,” he said.

Tijjani said that the issue of bigger parties wouldn’t count in the 2023 poll.

“This time around the issue of big parties won’t count at all, infact if there’s a chance for an independent candidate to contest the election, people might vote for him based on his credentials leaving candidates from the so called bigger parties,” he said.

G5: Rivers PDP Alleges Plot To Blackmail Wike

The  commissioner for information and communications in Rivers, Chris Finebone has revealed that  the state has uncovered a plot to blackmail Nyesom Wike, governor of the state.

A statement issued by Kelvin Ebiri, special assistant to Wike on media, revealed that  Finebone spoke at a media briefing on Thursday in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers.

Fineboy explained that the “faceless group” is orchestrating a campaign of calumny against Wike because they are vexed over his role in leading the G5 governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for “fairness, equity and justice” in the party.

“This is the evidence of the plot to blackmail governor Wike. This is the document and it is titled: ‘Proposal with hashtag, to end Wike rascality programme’,” he said.

The commissioner said the plan to blackmail Wike is “totally unexpected” by the Rivers government.

“We encouraged them to remove their mask and show themselves as the governor and the government is equal to the task of responding to them adequately,” he said.

“They can’t even sign it (the document) to push for this. It is important we warn them. It is important we also warn Nigerians about this scheme. We expect more of them to come. But I can assure you that the governor and the G-5 would rise to the occasion as they continue to start this type of campaign of calumny.”

Court Voids PDP Guber Primary In Ebonyi, Orders Fresh Poll

A few months to the general elections, a federal High Court sitting in Abuja has nullified the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State.

The PDP, in its first primary election conducted in May 28th and 29th 2022, elected Mr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii as its gubernatorial candidate in Ebonyi State.

The party also held another primary election on the 4th and 5th of June 2022, which produced Obinna Ogba as its factional governorship candidate.

It was gathered that the 1st primary election of the PDP which produced Odii as a guber candidate was conducted under the headship of Silas Onu while the 2nd Primary election of the party that produced Ogba, was conducted under the headship of Tochukwu Okorie.

Both Odii and Ogba reportedly fought gallantly in court for the PDP guber ticket in Ebonyi, wherein the Supreme Court later ruled in favour of Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii.

But now, Justice Binta Nyako has allegedly nullified all the primary elections of the PDP conducted under Silas Onu.

Justice, Nyako, however, gave fourteen days (14 days) for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to conduct a fresh primary election.

When contacted, the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Tochukwu Okorie confirmed the nullification of the Party’s primaries.

He said the party will soon make its position known as regards the federal High court ruling.
