Actress Damilola Adegbite says too much intimate roles made her leave Nollywood

Nollywood actress, Damilola Adegbite has revealed why she decided to go on hiatus from the Nigerian movie industry. The Tinsel actress in a recent interview session with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Rubbin’ Minds stated that she had to stay away from acting because movie producers were always casting her for romance and intimacy roles.

According to Adegbite, she prefers not to be stereotyped, therefore, she decided to take a break from acting.

Speaking, Adegbite stated;

“I did feel like that at the beginning because I noticed that many of the roles I was being casted for were intimate roles because of the kind of relationship that I had on Tinsel with my co-cast as in Soji and Kwame.

It was like you know they were my love interests so I was getting a lot of you have to be intimate in all your roles and I think that kind of reduces your you know, it just minimizes your potential.”

She continued;

You’re just being boxed in the same place or especially as an actor. I’m an actor in the first place which means I’m creative which means I like to express myself.”

Rapper, NBA YoungBoy Welcomes Ninth Child

American rapper, NBA YoungBoy, has welcomed his ninth child with his fianceè, Jazlyn Mychelle.

A celebrity gist media agency, hiphopdx disclosed this on Thursday.

Although this is his ninth biological child, the rapper has 10 children in all.

The rapper and fiancee, Mychelle, already share a daughter, Alice, who was born in 2020.

Before now, NBA YoungBoy has eight biological children from seven different women.

American Rap Sensation, Coolio Dies @59

Coolio, the rapper whose smash hit “Gangster’s Paradise” sent him to international stardom has died.

A report revealed that the beloved artist 59, visited a friend in Los Angeles on Wednesday and went to the bathroom but never emerged.

According to the report, when the friend went to check on Coolio, he found him unresponsive on the floor.

First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Coolio’s cause of death remains unclear, but his manager said the paramedics believe he died from cardiac arrest.

Coolio, whose legal name was Artis Ivey Junior, rose through the rap game in Los Angeles in the 1980s, but he became a national name with the number 1 hit “Gangster’s Paradise” in 1995.

He rode the success of that single and the album of the same name to a mainstream career that included three more top 40 hits and two songs on the “Space Jam” soundtrack.

Coolio also parlayed his fame into dozens of movie roles, including an appearance in 1997′s “Batman & Robin,” starring George Clooney.

D.J Cuppy Completes Masters Program At Oxford

Disc jockey and daughter of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, Florence Otedola popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has announced that she has completed her masters programme at the University Of Oxford.

Cuppy revealed this via her Twitter handle on Tuesday.

“Got my thesis result, which classifies my MSc degree. I didn’t get a Merit or a Distinction, but I PASSED!!! ✅📚After a tough year, I can officially say I am now a graduate from #UniofOxford 🎓And I am bloody proud of myself.

“To God be the glory! 🎊👩🏾‍🎓🎉,” she tweeted.
